Introduction to the course:
The RYA Level 2 course is the gateway to Powerboating. Never driven a Powerboat before ? Then this two day course is the place to start, taking you from a novice to being able to safely operate and navigate a Powerboat.

This course is governed by the Royal Yachting Association, who sets the syllabus for the Level 2 powerboat course. This course will also allow you to apply for an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) should you wish to go boating abroad. Is prior experience needed?
No experience is needed prior to undertaking this course  To train with Thames Active we require students to be aged 16 years or above.


What's involved?
The RYA Powerboat level 2 covers the basic and most fundamental skills of boating. During the course you will learn how to: Come alongside, moor the boat, recover a person from the water, picking up a mooring buoy along with how to handle the boat at high speed and more
