Thames Active is committed to the principle of equal opportunities in employment and for those that use their services and are opposed to any form of less favourable treatment through direct or indirect discrimination, harassment, victimisation on the grounds of age, race, religious beliefs, political opinions, creed, colour, ethnic origin, nationality, age, marital/parental status, sex, sexual orientation or disability.


This policy applies to job applicants (both internal and external) and all employees whether full time, part time, casual, temporary, and seasonal, contract or volunteers, the policy also applies equally to the treatment of Thames Active’s customers/clients and suppliers. Thames Active will not tolerate any abuse of the policy and will take immediate action if it is found that anyone has subjected another person to a detriment under this policy. The policy will continue to be implemented through creating more opportunities and encouraging increased participation in the sport for everyone at all levels and in all roles. Thames Active will ensure that all individuals connected with the provision of services will not hinder this policy.


Thames Active will regularly monitor its policies to ensure that it continues to pursue an effective policy of equal opportunity
