  • SESSION 1 - 09:00 to 12:30 – London Bridge to Putney


  • SESSION 2 - 13:30 to 17:00 – Margaretness to London Bridge


£65 per session,


Should you be enrolled in a government-funded apprenticeship on the River Thames, you can take advantage of a 20% discount per session. Please email sayhello@thamesactive.co.uk to find out more.



Training information

These trips are ideal for anyone who is studying for their PLA/ MCA Local Knowledge Endorsements exam or those who wish to familiarise themselves between Margartness and Putney safely. 
 Attending will allow you to get up close and personal with the River Thames, exploring its different reaches, shoals, piers, and bridges.

These trips can also be used for self-study; however, training will be delivered by an instructor or MCA Boat Master with a Local Knowledge Endorsement. 

The trip takes around 3.5 hours, during which tea and coffee are provided. Please bring snacks or lunch if you are with us for both sessions.

During the session, our 8-meter RIB Thames Navigator will pick you up and drop you off at the location. If you attend both sessions, you can remain onboard between pick-up locations.

 Please note that these trips are only for studying,  and participants must be 16 or older.
